Weather in Montana
Montana’s weather is as beautiful as it is unpredictable. Sunshine, wind, rain, and even a touch of snow can all make an appearance in a single day. While we love celebrating under the big sky, it’s important to plan with flexibility and foresight in mind.

Below are our seasonal policies and setup guidelines to help ensure your day flows seamlessly — no matter what the weather brings.

Outdoor Weddings: Weather-Permitting
Outdoor weddings held in April, May, and June are considered weather-permitting. These months often bring stunning scenery but can also include cooler temperatures, strong winds, or passing rain showers.
To prepare, we recommend:
-
Having a backup indoor plan for both ceremony and reception setups.
-
Maintaining open communication with our team regarding forecast updates in the week leading up to your event.
-
Keeping guest comfort in mind — blankets, heaters, and covered areas are wonderful additions for early-season celebrations.

Outdoor Event Cut-Off Date
Our cut-off date for outdoor weddings is November 1.
After this date, all ceremonies and receptions must be held indoors to ensure the
comfort and safety of your guests.

Indoor Setup Options (Weather Backup Plan)
-
Should weather require a change of plans, our team will transition your event indoors using the following layout options:
For 120 guests or fewer:
-
We can accommodate a full ceremony and reception setup inside, including ceremony chairs and tables.
For more than 120 guests:
-
We’ll create a half-and-half setup, with fewer rows of ceremony chairs in front and additional guests seated at their tables turned toward the ceremony area.
-
This layout ensures everyone has a comfortable view while maximizing available space.
